Food that instantly transports me to my childhood

Vegetarian food. Chapatis with dal and some seasonal vegetable. Curd and salad. Staple everyday food. Special would be Cholae, Rajma, paneer with pulao and raita.

Fried puris with tangy potato curry with pumpkin vegetable.

Suji halwa, coconut burfi, shahi tukda were the regular sweets made at home. The food had to end with a dessert. Peanut brittle and ice creams of various flavours was also the special… made by mum.

Oh How I miss her so. Her jams and jellies were famous too
